Episode 1
Michael is very determined to get into Alpha Complex--"I have to get in there"--and is the one who leads the fateful late-night expedition that triggers events to come. Later it is revealed this was his assignment from Arcanza: awaken the Omnians from their cryogenic sleep and pose as an ally.
Episode 3
Michael raises objections to teleporting to Twilight City. He knows Soleron plans to make a quick, fatal strike against his master and tries to prevent it. When the city has mysteriously vanished, he is shocked, not knowing if Arcanza has abandoned him or if this is part of a new revised plan. When the time comes to voice their promises to use OmniTech only for good, Michael gives his reluctantly and weakly.
Episode 5
Michael is the only Ranger not afraid to touch Old Ed, a known Legionnaire. He passionately wants to take Ed/Fiertoth to Alpha Complex; this was an unrevealed-in-the-story plan to sneak a monster into the Complex and destroy it.
Episode 8
Blue Ranger carelessly sifts through the rubble, firing his blaster randomly and asking to use his Hail Cannon, unconcerned if Craig is still alive and believing he is wasting his time. When Michael learns of the threat Ego poses, he slinks back in thought as Soleron explains, knowing this might cause for Arcanza as well.
Episode 9
Amber describes Michael as dark and suspicious, interacting only with other Rangers and avoiding anyone else. In Sanctuary, Brittany uses her Shine Saber to light the way, so he uses the Storm Lance to make a fountain flow with water again, showing his refusal to be outshown by another Ranger.
Episode 10
Michael is one of the open-minded Rangers when it comes to the question of allying themselves with Sir Vesper and the Twilight Legionnaires. The Hydra alone killed Univerouge because Michael believed that, because of Vesper's presence and actions, Arcanza wanted the alien dead.
Episode 11
Michael purses his lips after telling Craig, "Good to see you," because he did not like saying it; his features are increasingly darker. Laughs when Craig offers OmniTech to Cecil when all of the others are stunned. Pyrial remarks, "Sometimes enemies walk among us, masquerading as friends."
Episode 13
When his teammates teleport out, Michael lingers behind and seems more expressionless and off-balance than ever because of the Pseudo Ranger, another plan he was left in the dark on. Cecil asks him what is wrong and Michael gets angry. Blue Ranger was in a position for the Pseudo Ranger to kill him, but instead was "knocked out" and left alive; tells Cecil to immerse him in water to recharge him, which was unnecessary because he was never really hurt. Cecil wonders why Michael seems jealous of the Pseudo Ranger, never suspecting that Michael is afraid this new warrior will make him obsolete.
Episode 14
Michael stays silent, alone, and uneasy since he knew less and less about what was going on. Pseudo Ranger says, "You fools walk around without knowing your true identities and you expect me to reveal mine?" Michael lunges forward, afraid his cover is about to be blown. When Vesper attacks and steals the coins, Michael is unharmed and lucid afterward because Vesper knows his secret. Michael is still angry he is not part of this plan.
Episode 15
He spots Patrick and Rachel even though he is powerless and they are not obvious, then considers their knowledge of their identities a compromise and wants them killed. He names Craig as the Pseudo Ranger, even though the idea is ridiculous, because of his hatred for him. He rolls his eyes at the word "miracle." When Vesper thrusts his sword into the ground, Michael tries to approach it but is stopped, which makes him angry because he out-ranks the Legionnaire who stopped him. When Arcanza appears, he covers his mouth because he is laughing and squints to see his master more clearly.
Episode 16
Cecil sees a vision of Michael standing over bodies, laughing. Michael resists when Cecil tries to draw the OmniTech power through the other Rangers, making it more difficult for the Red Ranger.
Miscellaneous Clues
Michael is Hebrew for "who is like god"; one of the main plots was establishing Arcanza as a "god" of destruction. Tracer is not only Michael's last name, but the name of a character on the martial arts television show WMAC Masters who was also evil and hiding among the good guys. The Hydra is often described as a many-headed snake, or serpent, which frequently symbolizes evil.
